Hello everyone, I was just thinking today about what the perfect worship service looks like to you? What is important in a service to you? What is it that connects you with God the most during worship? You can write up a response and post it if you want to.

What is worship to you?
For some reason I have been watching sermon after sermon, reading blog after blog and I am juast soaking in all of this stuff. So here is my outlet. Why are we stagnate? Why does God rarely get an opportunity to just use us to our full potential? Is it because we are afraid? Is is because others do not agree with the vision we have? Have we not properly explained the vision God has for us? I realize these are many questions and I have no answers to them. I was just wondering how many of you feel the same way sometimes? This week in midweek we will discuss Philippians chapter 4. I hope you can make it.

Tonight @ Midweek we will be discussing Philippians 3-4. As I think of Paul writing this letter I can’t help but wonder how it was received by the church. When you think about the scriptures they where pretty blunt and in our faces about the way we should live. Here is a question for you> If the church today was this straight forward, how would we received by our culture?

Thank the Good Lord Summer is over. Time for routines, school, and getting back to Church. In Midweek this Fall we will be starting with Philippians. So if you are planning on being at Midweek read Philippians chapter 1. We will discuss this chapter and see where God leads us. I look forward to seeing everyone. It is good to be back in Clovis, NM. I went to a Conference in Houston, TX.. and was it hot. Well this week we will talk about American Abundance. We will ask the questions, “What do we do with our abundance?” and “What should we do with it?” As we tackle the subject of Consumerism. We will see you Wednesday Night.

Hello, Last week at Midweek we discussed Religion verses Redemption. There was a lot of discussion and some great ideas. Everyone has there own view of religion. We ask each other questions like, “Are you a religious person?” or “Are you a religious fanatic?” What is religion, and what do we believe about it? Is it good? Is it bad? Tonight at Midweek we will discuss the differences and possibly agree on what religion is all about. I hope to see you there. God bless you. Derek
We had a great discussion about church at midweek, we will continue with some difficult questions. For instance: Politics, How do we influence our Culture? Consumerism, How should we respond to war? Have you had one of those weeks? The kind of week where you meet yourself coming and going and you feel that everyone needs something from you? Have you been there? Well, this week was not just another week, and life seemed to role pretty fast down the old highway for me. Maybe you experienced a different kind of week, full of time and space and slow pace. I pray that this finds everyone doing well. Last weeks discussion on the Louie video was great. I look forward to discussion on Colossians ch. 4. I Feel that Midweek is a very important part of CBC. I value the discussion and the creative approach everyone has towards the scripture. My prayer is that God would prepare our hearts to hear from God this Wednesday night. I believe that the closer we stay to God’s word and the closer we can walk in fellowship with our maker the better off we will be. Encourage someone today, and tell them of the Love of God. Derek
